Lavender Syrup Adventure

Ok so we have lots of lavender at my house. It grows in the front garden and usually blooms in kinda late june-early july. Once the flowers have gotten a little tired out, my mom will usually come and ask me to cut them all so we can encourage the plants to grow a second batch of flowers later in the summer. ANYWAYS needless to say I'm always looking for things to do with the lavender flowers. This year, I made syrup. Using the lavender simple syrup from this recipe site, I made like. 4 liters of that stuff. The photos here? That was just the first batch. I was pulling out my dad's jam-making pots and stuff, it was crazy. Good news is it's delicious and even though it only keeps in the fridge for like 2 weeks, you can also seal it like preserves and keep it as long as you want (while it's sealed). So we have some nice bottles to give as gifts, I guess.
